Hello,
Anyone else who was like me this year and late to the party of buying Christmas gifts? I bought the rest of a couple of people six days before I had to give my boyfriend his gift. Usually I'm better than that, but apparently this year I slipped. Or maybe you're like my boyfriend want to treat yourself during the holidays.

Christmas Lites
Hello!
Yesterday was the last day of work for me for two weeks. I'll still be doing homework for grad school so it will won't be a complete break, but I'll take it with the extra sleep. This year has been the lastest I've have ever been still shopping for Christmas gifts. Anyone else out there? I have to buy my copy of Christmas Lites which I will be doing this week. It has 25 authors that you may or may not know. There are even a couple of kid authors in there for the holiday spirit. Remember these books, all of the money will go to the NCADV! I swear theses covers are getting better every year.

Coming soon...Christmas Lites VI
Hello!
I am excited to share information about the sixth volume in the Christmas Lites series! I can't believe this is the sixth year of this series. I have participated in every year except two. This series every dime goes to the NCADV (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence). The authors, cover designer, and editors do not see a penny of the sales and donate their times in addition to the tales the holiday season. The release will be this upcoming weekend. It has 25 authors of varying ages, and genres (G-Pg-13 ratings). I love this cover too, I swear they get better and better every year!
Cthulhu wants to wish you a Merry Christmas. The Fae sprinkle their fairy dust to ensure your light never fades. Assassins and adventures alike keep the spirit of life alive. Even the mob brings their family to the dinner table for glorious feasts.
Feel the magic of the season, the spirit of giving, the love of friends and family.
Discover bright new worlds, blood-pumping adventures, true love and heartbreak as you explore the stories inside these covers.
For the sixth year in a row, authors from all over the world combined their efforts and talents to create the anthology in your hands. Not for fame or fortune, but to help those in need. Every dime raised from this anthology goes straight to those who provide the assistance to these people. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence has been helping in ways we can never imagine for years, and we are happy to help support their efforts.
Please visit their website at www.ncadv.org for more information.

Christmas Lites V
Good Morning,
The long wait is finally over! This years Christmas Lites is released. I can't believe this is book five, it doesn't feel like five years has gone by. For those who don't know what this book series is about, it is a group of authors that come together and each write a holiday story. Then Amy Eye (editor and compiler) brings all the works together. She and the cover designer do not see a dime towards their work towards Christmas Lites just like the authors who submit their works. Every dime goes towards the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV). This year my story involves Riley from Beneath the Scars :)
Here is the list of authors that are part of Christmas Lites V

Cover revealings
Hello,
Did you notice the 's' in revealings? Well, look at it now! I'm being oddly productive, and we can probably blame the fact that silly me is going to finish grad school while I'm working a full time job. Silly me...so budget will be a little tighter. However, my goal is to get stuff done before that all starts. Plus between my boyfriend and I we have four more weddings to go to, three of which one of the two of us are in the wedding party. I'll go back to cycles of writing, which isn't ideal, but that's life. So the covers that will be revealed is Christmas Lites 5!! Can you believe we're up to 5?! I can't. I also will be this weekend revealing the cover to the 3rd novella in the mistakes series, Footsteps in the Alley. Going Rogue my mini series will go become something that you can read on your e-reader. Then End of the Line 2, Off the Beaten Path. So, keep your eyes out!
Speaking of Christmas Lites 5, we will be needing all the help that we can to help advertise the book that all of the money will go towards NCADV!

Blurb:
The Christmas season is upon us yet again. Yes, my friends, it is a time of giving, loving, and sharing. Within these pages is a way you can help many people desperately in need of love, support, and goodness: the victims of domestic crime. By purchasing this anthology, you are sending every last dime made off this book to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The NCADV is an amazing charity that saves these people and lets them know there is still hope, still goodness, and still a reason to carry on.
Twenty-one authors have joined in this year, giving their time and their stories to these people – and to you. We all hope you enjoy our holiday tales captured in bite-size pieces. Whether you read this on the bus, before bed, or snuggled by the fire, please, do read – and share.

Grad School
Hey Lovelies!
I know when I graduated in May with my BA in History Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) that I wouldn't go back to school. However I'm having a little trouble finding a teaching job in this economy so I decided to try what I had been toying with since high school, get my certificate so that I could teach Special Education. So applied to Georgian Court University by me, and I got in. So I'll get my certificate of TSD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities), but if I take 5 more class on top of the 7 then I get my masters on top of my teaching certificate. As much as I want to write for the rest of my life I also like teaching. I like being able to help students and to teach them, yes there are moments where I get frustrated, but it's a job you get what you put in. There will always be that one day, but what about the other days? I can't wait to get my own classroom, but till then I'll be subbing and earning my TSD :)
By the way on a side note Beneath the Scars was printed out on computer paper and I gave it to my Grammy to edit. I got too antsy waiting for a friend who has had it over a year and a half and I have been having trouble getting a hold of her as well. Bad combo. So my Grammy is going to give me comments and edit, I like to have someone else read it before giving my story to an editor go through it. More eyes the better! Thought I'm almost done writing the short story for Christmas Lites III which raises money for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, that and I have been already trying to picture Beneath the Scars' cover. You know getting ahead of myself...Welcome to both sides of my world, education and writing...

Review ~ Heartbeat by Faith Sullivan
Hey Lovelies!
I'm back home from my road trip. Might talk about it on another time, right now though I'm home so I am posting a review! Nice treat right? Faith Sullivan wrote a New Adult book that I'll be reading the sequel soon :) that and I figured out my Christmas Lites III story!
I'm back home from my road trip. Might talk about it on another time, right now though I'm home so I am posting a review! Nice treat right? Faith Sullivan wrote a New Adult book that I'll be reading the sequel soon :) that and I figured out my Christmas Lites III story!
Who is the rock in your life when it seems like everything around you is spinning? Katie is a woman who has always been sick her whole life, but when she goes to the movies with her Grandmother that car accident seemed to have a bigger impact on her life than anyone would have guessed. Adam is just a student trying to become a paramedic who shows up at a car accident to help a certain Grandmother to the hospital. Katie lives with her emotionally abusive father and Adam is running from a past he rather forget. These two are in each other's lives to help the other survive.
Faith Sullivan wrote an easy to read story of two people who just happened to meet because of fate. The story is well written, but also uses dialogue's from text messages and online chats to help develop these realistic characters. The readers will be-able to relate to Katie and Adam's need to find that comfort that they desperately need. Faith also has good vocabulary, but the language still flowed, which was nice to read. Heartbeat will have readers on the edge of their seats so that they need to keep reading with an ending that will have readers needing to quickly get to the second book.
